Donna DeMari is an American photographer who began her career in Milan, Italy. Inspired by Sarah Moon, she took her first trip to Italy at the age of 19 where she was introduced to Toscani who encouraged her to shoot fashion. DeMari's iconic images have appeared in numerous publications including  Italian Vogue, British Vogue, Australian VogueL'Officiel, and French Marie Claire. She was the first woman to shoot the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 1995 and 1996. She was featured in the ABC television special "The Making Of The Swimsuit Edition", and the focus of a VH1 Fashion Television Special which explored her views as a female fashion photographer.

DeMari's work has been shown extensively in galleries across the United States and Europe. She is the author of several monographs. Her book Luke & Forrest, received the prestigious Independent Publishers Book Award 2013.
